West Bengal: Massive fire engulfs edible oil warehouse in Howrah, 15 fire tenders rushed to spot

Fifteen fire tenders rushed at spot and launched the dousing operation. No casualties have been reported till now. The officials said that the cause of the fire is unclear.

Howrah: A massive fire engulfs warehouse of edible oil in West Bengal’s Howrah district on Saturday morning. According to officials, the fire broke out at the godown of Emami Agrotech in Bhagabatipur in the Sankrail police station area around 6.30 am, they said.

Fifteen fire tenders rushed at spot and launched the dousing operation. No casualties have been reported till now. The officials said that the cause of the fire is unclear.

A video clip has been shared by sources that shows massive fire smoke coming out at incident site.

Earlier a massive fire erupts at a perfume godown in Kolkata on September 30. According to the officials, the godown that caught fire is situated in the Elliot Road area in Kolkata. Upon receiving the information about the fire, fire tenders rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control.

Another incident broke out in Kolkata’s Jorabagan area late on Thursday night, huge fire ravages seven houses. The incident unfolds at Kathgola Street near Nimtala crematorium. Before the houses were gutted, the residents managed to evacuate.

As many as 10 fire fighters were present at spot to bring the situation under control. Fire services personnel suspected that a short circuit at a tea shop on the ground floor of one of the houses resulted in a massive blaze.
