After the introduction of features like sharing any type of files and bundling photos into albums, the android version of WhatsApp will soon receive yet another interesting feature for its users that is it will launch a new PiP video calling feature. With the WhatsApp beta version 2.17.265, Android users can get this feature.

In the forthcoming PiP video calling feature, the user can minimize the video call window so that at the same time the user may also be able to chat with other WhatsApp users, without disconnecting the video call. Therefore, with the help of this feature the users can carry out both video calls and chats simultaneously.

Currently, there is no information regarding whether it will be a floating video or not. However, if it will be a floating video then it would be easy for the users to drag and drop the video window wherever they wish on the screen.

In addition to that it is still unknown that the pop-out video calls can be continued after minimizing the WhatsApp window so that the user can perform any other task using his phone. If it happens, then WhatsApp will be one of the first video calling apps to facilitate multitasking on a smartphone.
