New Delhi: On Wednesday, four MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were marshalled out of the Delhi Assembly after they entered the premises over the issue of pollution in Yamuna river.
OP Sharma, Anil Vajpayee, Abhay Verma, and Ajay Mahawar were the MLAs who were marshalled out.
The incident took place today as the stormy winter session of the Delhi Assembly entered its third day.
Since the beginning of the session, the BJP MLAs have accused the ruling Aam Aadmi Party government of not doing enough to clean the Yamuna river.
The BJP has claimed that the Delhi government, led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has failed to clean the Yamuna despite receiving funds from the Center.
As they marched inside the Delhi Assembly complex with polluted water from the Yamuna river, the MLAs chanted “Kejriwal Maafi Mango.”
Since the beginning of the Delhi Assembly’s winter session, BJP MLAs have been making hue and cry. On the first day of the session, the BJP MLAs entered the assembly with oxygen cylinders and wearing oxygen masks to raise the problem of air pollution in Delhi.
The winter session is underway, and AAP has been targeting the Center and L-G over the deteriorating law and order situation and women’s security after a car dragged a woman several kilometres in the national capital.
AAP has been raising its voice against the elimination of drug trafficking as well as the increasing habits of drug addiction among youth.
