Ola recently announced that its very first electric scooter has received a record-breaking 1 lakh bookings reservations within the first 24 hours of the company throwing open its bookings. Ola Electric opened the reservation for its electric scooter on July 15. Soon it will be reserved for Rs 499 via the company’s website, and will be introduced in the Indian market very soon before heading to other global markets.The company states that there it is witnessing an immense demand from customers on the website to book the scooter in record numbers. Ola will reveal the features and price in the coming days.

The Ola electric scooter will be Made-in-India for the world, to be manufactured at the company’s Future factory being built in Tamil Nadu. The first phase of the Ola Future factory is nearing completion and will be operational soon, while the full capacity of 10 million vehicles per annum will be built by next year.
Ola Electric will also provide charging solutions to all its electric two-wheelers in its upcoming Ola Hyper charger. Ola will offer a variety of charging options to its electric vehicle customers through its high-speed Ola Hyper chargers and the home-charger that will come with the Ola electric scooter. The Ola hyper charger network will be the widest and densest electric two-wheeler charging network in the world, with more than 100,000 charging points across 400 cities. In the first year alone, Ola will set-up over 5,000 charging points across 100 cities in India, more than double the existing charging infrastructure in the country.
The Ola hyper charger with the ability to juice up 50 per cent in just 18 minutes, which is good enough for a 75km range will make it the fastest two-wheeler charging network, . The Ola hyper chargers will be situate across cities and it will locate in popular locations such as malls, IT parks, office complexes, cafes and more. And also will be found in city centers and dense business districts as standalone towers.
