Woman alleges sexual harassment at Delhi’s UP Bhawan, govt suspends several officials

New Delhi: A case of sexual exploitation of a woman has come to light in the UP Bhavan of the capital Delhi. The woman has given a complaint in this matter to the Delhi Police. Following the complaint, the Delhi Police, which is probing the case, has sealed the room in UP Bhawan, in which the girl has been accused of sexual exploitation.

On the other hand, the UP government is very serious about this matter. A departmental inquiry has been ordered by the government and some officers have been suspended. However, the Delhi Police engaged in the investigation of the case is refraining from saying much in this matter. According to the police, the allegations are still being investigated.

According to the complaint, a person from Delhi reached UP Bhawan with an unknown woman on May 26 at around 12.15 pm. It is alleged that two employees present at the reception there provided a room to the person accompanying the woman. According to sources, the person who reached UP Bhavan with the woman is not included in that category, who should be given a room in Delhi’s UP Bhavan. According to sources, the unidentified woman has gone to the Chanakyapuri police station and given a complaint against the man alleging that she has been sexually assaulted.

After this, room number 122 of UP Bhawan located in Chanakyapuri has been sealed by the Delhi Police. The woman has alleged that she was sexually assaulted in this room. After the complaint of the woman in Chanakyapuri police station, the police have registered a case against the accused Rajvardhan Singh Parmar. The accused is the national president of an organization named Maharana Pratap Sena. The accused along with the woman came in the room on May 26 at around 12.15 and left at 1.50. The accused had made an officer to see the room in the name of getting the room opened.

Taking major action in this matter, the UP government has suspended Dinesh Karush, Rakesh Chaudhary and Paras, the system officers posted at UP Bhawan in Delhi. It is alleged that these people wrongly showed the room to the accused, whereas he is not eligible to book a room in UP Bhavan. At present, Rajeev Tiwari has been given the responsibility of UP Bhawan.
