Women will be able to work in night shift in Delhi, Labor Department approved the draft

Now women will be able to work in night shift in Delhi. On Friday, Labor Minister Raj Kumar Anand approved its draft.

Kejriwal government has brought a good news for the women of Delhi. Now women in Delhi will be able to work in night shift with complete security, the Labor Minister has approved its draft. Delhi Government’s Labor Minister Raj Kumar Anand held a high-level meeting on Friday and discussed with the officials of the Labor Department on the draft made to allow women to work in night shift and other points including their safety. Now the Labor Department will seek suggestions and objections from the public and after that the draft will be finalised.

Now women will be able to work from 7 pm to 6 am

At the same time, Labor Minister Raj Kumar Anand held a meeting with the officials of the Labor Department on Friday and discussed the draft on the standards of Delhi Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Rules, 2023. Now women can work from 7 in the night to 6 in the morning, although it is very important to have the consent of women for this.

Employees will get more salary for working overtime

Along with this, now the employees doing overtime in Delhi will get their hard earned money. The Labor Department of Delhi Government has also approved this proposal. According to the policy, working more than 8 hours in a day or working more than 48 hours in a week will be considered as overtime. Under this if any employee will be considered overtime. Under this, if an employee works overtime, then he can get double payment for every hour on the basis of minimum wages. No person shall work for more than 12 hours in a day nor shall he work overtime for 7 consecutive days. At the same time, he will not be able to work for more than 60 hours in a week. Along with this, it has been made mandatory for the employers to give some holidays to the employees in a year.
