“Our nasal vaccine will be officially launched on January 26, Republic Day,” Ella said while participating in IISF’s ‘Face-to-Face with New Frontiers in Science’ segment held at the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology. In December, Bharat Biotech announced that it would sell the intranasal vaccine at Rs 325 per shot for government procurement and Rs 800 per shot for private vaccination centres.

What is intranasal covid vaccine?
This is a nasal vaccine, so there is no need to vaccinate with this new vaccine. Means no injection needle will be pricked for this, just one drop will be put in your nose and you will be safe.

According to experts, intranasal vaccines are most suitable for protection against flu or coronavirus. These vaccines help in boosting immunity. According to scientists, when a person comes in contact with an airborne virus with the help of a vaccine, it is known how serious the disease is.

In December last year, Bharat Biotech had announced that it would sell the intranasal vaccine for ₹ 325 per shot for procurement by the government and ₹ 800 per shot for private vaccination centres.
