The long-running speculation about the name of the BJP state president in Uttar Pradesh is now over. BJP has announced the name of the new state president in the state.
Lucknow: Yogi-led UP government has appointed its new state president. The long-running speculation regarding the name of BJP State President (UP BJP) in Uttar Pradesh is over now. BJP has announced the name of the new state president in the state. The name has been announced on Thursday in a letter issued by BJP General Secretary Arun Singh. The party has given the command of UP to Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary. Mr Chaudhary is from Western UP’s Jat community and has reportedly been appointed to consolidate Jat cotes for the 2024 look Sabha elections.
Speculation was going on for a long time about the new state president of BJP in UP. During this, the names of Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Dinesh Sharma, Shrikant Sharma, Basti MP Harish Dwivedi, Kannauj MP Subrata Pathak and Union Minister BL Verma were running prominently. But amidst all the speculation, the BJP has finally announced the new president of the party here.
Will replace Swatantra Dev Singh
Bhupend Singh Choudhary will replace Swatantra Dev Singh, currently a minister in the Yogi government, as the new state president of the BJP in UP. On July 16, Swatantra Dev Singh completed his three-year term. After which it was also discussed that Swatantra Dev Singh has resigned from the post of state president. However, there was no official confirmation of this.
At the same time, the tradition of one post one person in BJP has been there for a long time. In such a situation, apart from being the President of UP BJP, Swatantra Dev Singh is also a minister in the state government. Whereas recently, he has resigned from the post of leader of the party in the Legislative Council. As the state president of Swatantra Dev Singh, the BJP has won one Lok Sabha election and one assembly election in the state. Now it will be a big challenge for the new state president to repeat the previous performance.
