Beside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a girl was spotted reciting a poem in a video where she was praising the BJP
New Delhi: Beside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a girl was spotted reciting a poem in a video where she was praising the BJP. The video went viral on social media. The girl narrated that she was not at all nervous; she thought she was sharing time in front of her ‘grandpa’.
Saffron Camp shared the video on its Twitter account and revealed how the young girl is narrating a poem in Gujarati, saying, “BJP will save us, BJP will come.”
“I was nervous before entering the room; when I went inside and saw PM, my nervousness vanished, and he resembled me as my grandpa,” said the girl named Aadya.
The prime minister was seen smiling throughout the 57-second video as the youngster rained down praise on his party.
Criticism from Congress
The Congress condemned the video and accused Modi of using children in his campaign for the upcoming Gujarat assembly elections. The party has urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) and National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) to take action regarding the matter.
Manickam Tagore, the Congress MP from Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar, reacted angrily to the video and questioned whether the NCPCR would intervene. He questioned, “Why these double standards, Mr. Prime Minister?”
Earlier, the BJP accused Rahul of using children during his ongoing ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and asked to the NCPCR to take action.
