14-year-old boy falls to death from 22nd floor of high-rise in Noida, police suspect suicide

Noida: An official said that a class 7 student died after falling from the 22nd floor of a residential high-rise in Noida on Wednesday. After receiving information about this incident local police reached the on spot. The police suspecting it to be a case of suicide.

Noida: An official said that a class 7 student died after falling from the 22nd floor of a residential high-rise in Noida on Wednesday. After receiving information about this incident local police reached the on spot. The police suspecting it to be a case of suicide.

According to an official source, the 14-year-old boy had recently taken his annual examinations and its result is expected on Thursday. The police are investigating the incident with suspicions pointing towards it being a case of suicide.

After getting this information, Inspector Kumar promptly arrived at the scene. In-charge of the Bisarkh police station, Inspector Arvind Kumar said that on Wednesday at 5:30 pm, the police received information that 14-year-old Ansh, a seventh-grade student residing in a society within Supertech Eco Village 3 group housing society in Bisrakh had fallen from his flat on the 22nd floor.

Police said, “The boy died on the spot after falling from the 22nd floor of a residential tower of the society. Further legal proceedings in the case are underway.” A police officer said the boy, whose parents are music teachers, had recently taken his annual examinations for class 7 and the result is expected on Thursday.

The officer said media that the family lives in a flat on the second floor of the building while the boy allegedly jumped from the 22nd floor. The officer said,”The family could not confirm if the boy was under any pressure of studies or exam results or what prompted him to take the extreme step. The family has wished for no further investigation in the case.”
