Pulwama: In Jammu and Kashmir, the police have recovered 5 to 6 kg IED on the spot of a person, weighing the possibility of a major possible accident with their promptness. Kashmir Police said that Ishfaq Ahmad Wani, a resident of Arigam in Pulwama, an associate of the terrorists, was arrested. On his disclosure, about 5-6 kg IED was recovered.
A case has been registered for this and further investigation is underway. The recovery of this huge consignment of IEDs was done a few days after a terrorist attack in Kandi forest area of Rajouri. Five soldiers were martyred in the incident of Rajouri terror attack. Kashmir Zone Police has informed about the recovery of this IED by tweeting.
The massive search operation to nab terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri, which began on Friday, continued on Sunday as well. After the Rajouri terror attack, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited the headquarters of the 25 Infantry Division in Rajouri on Saturday. Army Chief General Manoj Pandey and Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha were also with Rajnath Singh.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed condolences to the martyred soldiers and appreciated the bravery and enthusiasm of the soldiers while working in challenging conditions. Singh said that ‘the country feels safe because of the constant vigilance and sacrifice of the army in difficult and difficult terrains’.
