Belgrade: Another incident of firing has come to light in Serbia. Eight people were killed and 13 others wounded late on Thursday in a shooting near a Serbian town some 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of the capital Belgrade. The shooting took place near Mladenovac when the attacker fired from a moving vehicle with an automatic weapon and fled, RTS television reported. The police has started a search operation to find the accused attacker.


There was a shootout the day before

The police have cordoned off the area around the village after the attack. They believe that the accused is hiding nearby. Many pictures and videos related to the incident are going viral. According to the police, the age of the suspected accused who carried out the attack is said to be 21 years. Police has issued a search warrant against him. Heavy police force has been deployed in the area after the firing incident and several ambulances reached the spot. At the same time, there is a jar of surveillance over the area even from the helicopter. The local administration has sent its team to the area of Mladenovac and Mali Pozarevac to search for the accused.

Just a day before this deadly incident, on May 3, a 13-year-old student had carried out a shooting incident in a school in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, in which 9 people were killed and 7 were injured.
