Delhi MCD Mayor Election : Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate Shaili Oberoi has been elected as the new Mayor of Delhi. Shelly Oberoi was declared the winner after the corporators voted in the fourth meeting at the Civic Center on Wednesday. After Shaili Oberoi’s victory, Manish Sisodia said that the people of Delhi won while the goons lost.
Let us inform that a total of 266 votes were cast for the MCD Mayor election. Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate Shaili Oberoi got 150 votes while Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate Rekha Gupta got 116 votes.
Slogans of Shelly Oberoi Zindabad were raised in the house even before the result of the mayoral election came out. Already, AAP’s victory on the post of Delhi Mayor is being considered certain. On the victory of Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi MCD elections, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia congratulated newly elected Mayor Dr Shelly Oberoi and congratulated all AAP councilors and party workers.
