Voting began at 7 AM across 49 constituencies in six states and two union territories. This phase is crucial as it includes high-profile constituencies such as Raebareli, Amethi, and Lucknow. The outcomes in these areas will significantly impact the political landscape.

The fifth phase covers

Uttar Pradesh: 14 seats

Maharashtra: 13 seats

West Bengal: 7 seats

Bihar: 5 seats

Jharkhand: 3 seats

Odisha: 5 seats

Jammu and Kashmir: 1 seat

Ladakh: 1 seat

These regions represent a diverse political spectrum, with constituencies of historic and strategic importance. Voters are expected to influence the political futures of several prominent leaders.

Voter Turnout and Participation

The Election Commission has encouraged voters to show up in large numbers, emphasizing voting as both a right and a responsibility. So far, the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections have seen a voter turnout of approximately 66.95%, with around 451 million people voting in the first four phases.
