PUNE:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be honored with the Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak National Award in Pune today. During this, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar will also share the stage. There is displeasure among the leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) about this. The program is to be organized on August 1 at 11 am at SP College ground.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today this award is given by the Chief Trustee of the Trust, Deepak Tilak.
First of all, worship of Lord Shri Ganesha will be done in Dagdusheth temple:
After reaching Pune, PM Modi will first offer prayers to Lord Shri Ganesh at the famous Dagdusheth temple. After that the Prime Minister will be honored with the Lokmanya Tilak National Award at 11:45 am. The award was instituted by the Tilak Smarak Mandir Trust in 1983 to honor the legacy of Lokmanya Tilak.
Will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects:
PM Modi will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects in Pune. Modi will flag off the metro train at the inauguration of services on the completed sections of the two corridors of Phase I of the Pune Metro. This section is from Phugewadi Station to Civil Court Station and from Garware College Station to Ruby Hall Clinic Station. The Prime Minister had also laid the foundation stone of this project in 2016.

When the award was announced, Rohit Tilak had said that it was surprising that NCP chief Sharad Pawar would be the chief guest of the programme.
