The authorities also recovered incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition. The terrorist was accused of killing a 42-year-old Kashmiri Pandit. Police have identified the deceased as Aqib Mushtaq Bhat, who initially worked for Hizbul Mujahideen before moving to The Resistance Front. After which another major action has been taken by the security forces.
Jammu and Kashmir’s Additional Director General of Police said in a statement on Twitter, “The killed terrorist has been identified as Aqib Mushtaq Bhat of Pulwama (A Category). He initially worked for HM Terrorist Organization, nowadays he is working with TRF.” Two security officials — NK Hemraj and CT Pawan — were injured in the encounter and were admitted to the 92 base hospital for medical treatment.
According to police, Sanjay Sharma, a security guard of a bank, was shot in the chest at close range just 100 meters from his house in Achan area of Pulwama district at around 11 am on Sunday. Passersby rushed him to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. He was cremated on Monday at his native village in Pulwama.
