Atishi Applauds Impactful Work of Anganwadi Centers in East Delhi

New Delhi: Delhi’s Women and Child Development Minister, Atishi, expressed her admiration for the remarkable efforts of Anganwadi centers in Patparganj, East Delhi. During her visit on Saturday, Atishi praised the centers for their pivotal role in raising awareness among expectant mothers and providing essential nutrition and high-quality education to children. She emphasized the critical importance of the early years spent in Anganwadis, emphasizing their significant impact on children’s mental development.

Atishi highlighted the Kejriwal government’s commitment to these centers, emphasizing their equivalence in importance to schools. Parents, she noted, have confidence in the Anganwadi centers, which play a vital role in overcoming issues like mobile addiction and enhancing children’s concentration. Atishi assured that the government would spare no effort in ensuring that these centers receive all necessary facilities.

Recognizing the crucial role of Anganwadi workers in shaping children’s lives, Atishi stressed the significance of providing quality learning experiences by the age of 5, laying a strong foundation for future success. She reiterated that Delhi’s Anganwadi centers are trusted partners for parents, facilitating better child-rearing practices.

Delhi’s government plans to collaborate with Anganwadi workers and experts to develop reading materials aimed at raising public awareness through these centers. Currently, the city boasts approximately 11,000 Anganwadi centers, with over 20,000 dedicated workers and helpers. These centers actively engage parents, discussing each child’s growth and nutritional needs, demonstrating their comprehensive approach to child development.

Atishi’s visit underscored the government’s commitment to the well-being of children and expectant mothers, acknowledging the pivotal role played by Anganwadi centers in fostering a healthy, educated, and socially aware generation.
