Azamgarh: A terrible road accident took place late night on Purvanchal Expressway under Ahraula police station of Azamgarh district. A total of 5 people, including 3 women, died on the spot in this accident, while others were seriously injured. The injured were admitted to the district hospital, where they were referred to Varanasi after first aid.
According to the information, a Bolero going from Lucknow to Ghazipur rammed into a bamboo-laden tractor trolley moving forward near Stone No. 213 on the Purvanchal Expressway. People from Deoria district were riding in Bolero and 5 people died on the spot.
A 40-year-old woman named Kiran is said to be seriously injured in this accident. The injured Kiran was rushed to the district hospital in the night itself, where after first aid, the doctors referred him for treatment in Varanasi, seeing his serious condition.
SP City Shailendra Lal said that the bodies of the deceased have been taken into custody and post-mortem is being done. He also said that a seriously injured woman was rushed to the district hospital from where she has been referred to Varanasi.
According to SP City, the accident took place near Stone No. 213 near Khadarampur village of Ahraula police station area on Purvanchal Expressway at around 11:30 pm on Saturday night. He also said that all the people who died in the incident are residents of Manduadih in Deoria district. The relatives of the deceased have been informed.
According to media reports, 45-year-old Kailash’s son Achhelal, 43-year-old Dukhi’s son Prabhu, 40-year-old Guddu’s wife Chhotelal, 38-year-old Neetu’s wife Kailash and 11-year-old Rani’s daughter Vinod Kumar died while 40 A woman named Vari Keeda is seriously injured and has been sent to Varanasi for treatment.
