Bengaluru: In a distressing incident in Bengaluru’s Whitefield area, an auto-rickshaw driver attacked a woman after she canceled the ride. The attack was captured on CCTV, which showed that the driver tried to forcibly drag the woman into the vehicle before pushing her on the road. Due to the victim taking to social media, the driver was arrested and further investigation was conducted by the police.
In the CCTV footage that has surfaced, the auto-rickshaw driver is seen forcing himself on the woman. The driver, who was clearly agitated, attempted to drag the passenger back into the vehicle after the cancellation. When her efforts proved futile, he surprisingly began pushing her onto the asphalt, leaving her visibly shaken and shocked.

There are reports that a female friend of the victim narrated the ordeal on social media, after which the police noticed the post and contacted the woman. There are reports that an FIR has been filed in connection with the matter on the basis of the woman’s complaint. The police have not succeeded in arresting the accused auto driver till now. However, the police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
