BJP’s 4-time MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be party’s chief ministerial candidate in the next assembly elections

New Delhi: BJP’s four-time chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be the party’s face and chief ministerial candidate in the next assembly elections in the state. Sources have given this information to sources. However, sources have also said that in view of the party’s defeat at the hands of the Congress in 2019, there are plans to change his image and revamp the party’s approach.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been given the freedom to reconsider his personality change. The chief minister, affectionately called “Mama”, will maintain his humble and inclusive image, especially among women, tribals and Dalits.

Sources said that in view of the growing law and order issues and allegations of corruption against his government, Chouhan is planning to come across as a tough administrator. The development of the party will be strengthened through new schemes and programmes.

Cabinet expansion
Apart from this, there is talk of expansion of Chauhan’s cabinet in the MP government. It is being said that the expansion has been approved by the central leadership. During this, many sitting MLAs can be thrown out under the tried and tested formula. At present, the party is very active at the booth level and digital verification of 62 thousand out of 65 thousand has been done.

Focus on plans
According to the report, sources said that party workers will help people in implementing government schemes. Apart from this, views can also be known from the people at the booth level. Along with this, every booth committee has also been asked to identify and contact influential people of the area.

It is reported that the party is focusing more on women and tribals during this period. These include many schemes like Ladli Bahna. Apart from this, special attention will also be given to agriculture and roads.
