On Wednesday morning, following the BJP’s clean sweep, Shivraj Singh Chauhan met with Dr. Mohan Yadav at the Chief Minister’s residence. The leaders congratulated each other and shared sweets in celebration of the party’s unprecedented win.
Record-Breaking Performance
The BJP not only swept all seats but also set a record in vote share, increasing from 58% to 59.27%. In contrast, the Congress vote share dropped from 34.50% to 32.44%. The victory is attributed to effective booth management and the relentless efforts of BJP workers.
Strategic Win in Chhindwara
Under Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s leadership, the BJP previously won 27 out of 29 seats in 2014 and 28 in 2019. This year, the BJP claimed Chhindwara, dismantling the stronghold of former Chief Minister Kamal Nath after 26 years. Continuous efforts and strategic planning by central leaders, Dr. Mohan Yadav, and Shivraj Singh Chauhan were pivotal in securing this seat.
