UP: BSP Releases New List of Six Candidates for Lok Sabha Elections, Key Nominee for Kaiserganj Seat

Uttar Pradesh: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has shared another list of candidates. They’ve named six people. BSP is trying to get support from Brahmins by choosing a candidate for the Kaiserganj seat. Also, they’ve changed their candidate for the Azamgarh seat.

Kaiserganj Seat: BSP’s nomination of Narendra Pandey aims to appeal to Brahmin voters, strategically playing the Brahmin card.

Azamgarh Seat: The candidate lineup sees a significant change with Mashhood Ahmed replacing the previous nominee, reflecting BSP’s adaptive approach.

Broad Representation: BSP’s candidate selection reflects diversity, with emphasis on Muslim representation alongside candidates from Brahmin and Scheduled Caste backgrounds.

Notably, this is BSP’s third candidate change for the Azamgarh seat. Initially, Bhim Rajbhar was nominated, later shifted to Salempur. Then, Shabiha Ansari was chosen, but now Mashhood Ahmed, her husband, will contest.

The list reflects BSP’s focus on Muslim representation with three candidates, along with two Brahmins and one candidate from a Scheduled Caste on a reserved seat. This marks the 11th list of BSP candidates, totaling over 75 seats so far.

Earlier, BSP had announced candidates for Amethi, Pratapgarh, and Jhansi seats on April 29, with a subsequent change in the Amethi candidate to Nanhe Singh Chauhan from Ravi Prakash Maurya.
