Bihar : In a strategic move ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the Congress party has nominated Dr. Anshul Avijit as its candidate for the Patna Sahib Parliamentary constituency in Bihar. Anshul Avijit, the son of former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, will contest against BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad, a former Union Minister.
The decision was confirmed by the Central Election Committee of the Congress, which approved Anshul Avijit’s candidature for the upcoming general elections. This move sets the stage for a significant electoral battle in Patna Sahib, historically a stronghold of the BJP.
