Assam Police IGP L&O and Spokesperson Prashant Kumar Bhuiyan told media that a case has been registered against Congress leader Pawan Khera at Haflong police station in Dima Hasao district of Assam. A team of Assam Police has left for Delhi to seek the remand of Pawan Khera in connection with the case.

Earlier, Khera was asked to get off the Raipur-bound IndiGo flight. According to Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinet, several Congress leaders were on their way to the Raipur session and during this time Pawan Khera was offloaded from the flight by the Delhi Police. Congress leaders have started protesting by sitting at the airport itself.

According to the information, the Delhi Police has said in a statement that Congress leader Pawan Kheda was stopped from boarding the flight at the Delhi airport as the Assam police tried to stop him. was requested.

Meanwhile, giving information about this on Twitter, Supriya Shrinet wrote, “We were all about to go to Raipur by Indigo Airlines flight number 6E 204 when suddenly my colleague Pawan Kheda was asked to get off the plane. What kind of arbitrariness is this?” Has the rule of law ended? On what basis and by whose orders was this done?” At present, till the time of writing the news, no statement has yet come from IndiGo or the Civil Aviation Department in this matter.

Pawan Khera said in a statement, “I was told that there is some problem with your luggage, while I have only one handbag. When I came down from the flight, I was told that you cannot go. Let us tell you that an FIR was recently lodged in Lucknow against Congress spokesperson Pawan Kheda for deliberately mocking the late father of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Police registered a case on the complaint of a BJP leader. A police official said that a case was registered against Kheda under sections 153-A, 500, 504 and 505 (2) of the Indian Penal Code on Monday at the Hazratganj police station.

Khera had given a controversial statement criticizing the government regarding industrialist Gautam Adani. Talking to reporters, BJP leader Mukesh Sharma said that the manner in which the Congress spokesperson (Pawan Khera) has given a statement will hurt the sentiments of the people. Sharma alleged that he (Kheda) made a deliberate attempt to make fun of the Prime Minister’s late father.
