Congress Unveils Telangana Assembly Election Manifesto, Outlines 6 Guarantees

Telangana: The Congress party has unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming Telangana assembly elections. In this document, the party has outlined six guarantees that it pledges to fulfill in order to achieve the vision of a prosperous “Bangaru Telangana.” The guarantees are likely to cover various aspects such as social justice, economic empowerment, and overall progress for the people of Telangana.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, during the manifesto release, expressed the party’s commitment to protecting the achievements of the Telangana movement. He specifically mentioned their determination not to let these achievements be undermined by what he referred to as “Commission Raj” and the alleged plundering of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC).

Kharge also made remarks indirectly targeting both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) led by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He suggested that despite efforts by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and KCR, the Congress party is confident of coming to power because the public understands the alleged scams in the state. Additionally, Kharge hinted at KCR’s imminent retirement.

In contrast, Union Minister Amit Shah is expected to release the BJP’s manifesto during his visit to the state. The Telangana assembly elections are scheduled for November 30, with the counting of votes set for December 3. The release of manifestos by political parties is a customary practice before elections, outlining their promises and commitments to the electorate.
