New Delhi: Cyclone Mocha can show a formidable form in many areas of the country. There is a possibility of rain with thunderstorm due to ‘Mocha’. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rains in many areas of the country. IMD DG Mrityunjay Mohapatra told that a low pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal and the adjacent South Andaman Sea. It can turn into depression on 9th May. On May 10, cyclonic storm ‘Mocha’ can wreak havoc in the areas around Southeast Bay of Bengal and East Central Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea.

According to IMD, due to ‘Moka’ very strong winds can blow in the coastal areas. There is a possibility of very heavy rain. Warning has been issued for small boats and fishermen.

The Meteorological Department estimates that the landfall of cyclone ‘Mocha’ will be on May 14. The area of ​​landfall will be above the Bangladesh-Myanmar coasts. According to IPM, there is a possibility of very heavy rains in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Wednesday as well. IMD in its latest bulletin informed that the well-marked low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Andaman Sea has concentrated into a depression.

The position of cyclonic storm ‘Moka’ is currently in Cox’s Bazar (Bangladesh), about 510 km south-west of Port Blair in Andaman. It is very likely to move north-northwestwards and gradually intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over the same region around May 10 evening.

The cyclonic storm is slowly moving towards the north-west. By the morning of May 11, it will turn into a severe cyclone. There itself. By the evening of May 11, this storm will turn into a very severe cyclone.
