New Delhi: The dead body of a woman has been recovered in 7-8 pieces on the banks of the Yamuna under the Geeta Colony flyover in North Delhi. These pieces were packed in two plastic bags. These pieces have been found in the forest on the banks of the Yamuna under the Geeta Colony flyover. From the preliminary investigation, it seems that the murder of the woman took place several days back and her body was brought here and thrown.
A boy saw a dead body in the forest on the banks of the Yamuna between Delhi’s Geeta Colony flyover at 9.15 am on Wednesday, the boy informed the police. When the police reached the spot, they found that the dead body was kept in two black colored plastic bags in 7-8 pieces.
According to the police- the dead body of the woman is several days old, because the dead body has been scratched by wild animals. It is taking 35-40 years to see the age of the woman. Police of North Delhi district reached the spot with forensic experts. Crime team and dog squad have been called in the entire forest to search the surrounding area and efforts have been made to collect evidence. According to the police – from the initial investigation, it seems that the woman was murdered several days ago and her body was thrown here. Till now the woman has not been identified. Several police teams are engaged in the investigation.
People have still not forgotten the Shraddha Walkar murder case, which took place last year. Last year, Shraddha Walkar, a 27-year-old call center employee, was strangled to death by her live-in partner, Aftab Poonawalla, who cut her body into 35 pieces and dumped it in the woods for 18 days. He kept some parts of the body in the fridge and burnt his face to hide his identity.
