Delhi: Govt hikes minimum wage of employees, new rates to be effective from 1 April

New Delhi: To provide relief to laborers and employees who are suffering from inflation in Delhi, the Delhi government on Thursday issued an order to increase the monthly wages of unskilled, semi-skilled. New Delhi: To provide relief to laborers and employees who are suffering from inflation in Delhi, the Delhi government on Thursday issued an order to increase the monthly wages of unskilled, semi-skilled. And skilled workers in the national capital.

This benefit will also be given to clerical and supervisory category employees. The Kejriwal government increased the minimum monthly wages of non-matric, matric and graduate employees. These new rates will be effective from April 1.

Labor Minister Raj Kumar Anand also directed all workers and employees to be paid at increased rates. According to the new rate of minimum wage hiked by the Delhi government, the monthly salary of skilled workers has been increased from Rs 20,357 to Rs 20,903 to Rs 546.

The monthly salary of semi-skilled workers has been increased from Rs 18,499 to Rs 18,993. At the same time, the monthly salary of unskilled workers has been increased by Rs 442 from Rs 16,792 to Rs 17,234.

Supervisors and clerical employees in Delhi will also benefit from the new rates of minimum wages issued by the government.As per the new rates, the monthly pay of non-matric employees has been increased from Rs 18,499 to Rs 18,993, resulting in an increase of Rs 494 in monthly pay.

Similarly, the monthly salary of matric pass and non-graduate employees has been increased. Rs 20,903 from Rs 20,357, an increase of Rs 546.On the other hand, the monthly salary of graduate employees and workers with higher educational qualification has been increased from Rs 22,146 to Rs 22,744, resulting in a maximum increase of Rs 598 in their monthly salary.

Anand said in a statement, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, this important step has been taken keeping in mind the interests of the poor and working class of Delhi. Inflationary hit.”

“Dearness allowance cannot be withheld for workers in the unorganized sector, who normally get only minimum wages, so the Delhi government has announced a new minimum wage by adding dearness allowance,” he said.
