Delhi no flights movement at IGI airport between 10:20 am To 12:35 pm till January 26

New Delhi: On Friday, in a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued by the Civil Aviation Ministry said that no flights will be allowed to land in or take-off from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport between 10.20 AM and 12.45 PM till Republic Day, or January 26.

New Delhi: On Friday, in a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued by the Civil Aviation Ministry said that no flights will be allowed to land in or take-off from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport between 10.20 AM and 12.45 PM till Republic Day, or January 26.

In a post on social media platform X, Delhi airport said that as per a notice to NOTAM (Notice to Airmen), no flights would be arriving or departing from Delhi airport for 2 hours and 15 minutes between January 19 and 26.

For the first time, all-women marching and brass band units of the Border Security Force (BSF) will participate in this year’s Republic Day parade on the line of duty. A women officer of the rank of Assistant Commandant and two subordinate officers will lead a total of 144 women BSF constables marching on the line of duty on January 26.

The Delhi Police has increased vigilance in the national capital ahead of Republic Day. As part of Republic Day preparations, East Delhi District Police conducted a mock drill at Akshardham temple simulating a terrorist attack scenario.

It is significant that a total of 2,274 cadets from all 28 states and eight Union Territories will participate in the month-long National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp 2024. With 907 girls, this year’s camp will see the largest participation of girl cadets.

The Commissioner of Delhi Police has banned the use of aerial devices like paragliders, paramotors in Delhi just before January 26 keeping in mind the input of terrorist activities. There will be a complete ban on hang gliders, unmanned aerial vehicles such as toys, unmanned aircraft systems, micro light aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, drones, hot air balloons, small powered aircraft, quadcopters and para jumping etc.

This order has been issued by Delhi Police Commissioner. The order has stated that violation of the rules under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code will amount to an offence. This ban will remain in force till February 15.
