Diamond-Studded Crown Worth Rs 11 Crore Gifted to Ram Lalla by Gujarat Industrialist

Ayodhya: A generous gesture from a Surat-based diamond trader saw the donation of a diamond-studded crown valued at Rs 11 crore to the Ram Lalla at the newly-constructed Ayodhya Ram Temple. Mukesh Patel, the head of Green Lab Diamond Company, presented the 6-kilogram crown adorned with gold, diamonds, and precious gemstones during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. The intricate design, featuring strands of pearls and meticulously crafted measurements, reflects the commitment to honoring the deity. The benevolent contribution adds to the ornate collection for the consecrated Ram Lalla.

Philanthropy and Craftsmanship Unveiled

Crafted with meticulous precision, the crown was personally handed over by Mukesh Patel and his family during their visit to Ayodhya. The industrialist presented the crown to the chief priest of the Ram Mandir and trustees of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust. The diamond trader’s philanthropic act, along with additional ornaments, reflects the widespread support and reverence for the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

Significance of Each Ornament for Ram Lalla

Dinesh Navdia, national treasurer of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, highlighted the symbolic significance of each piece of jewellery adorning the Ram Lalla idol. The inclusion of silver toys, such as a rattle, elephant, horse, camel, toy cart, and a spinning top, reflects the deity’s age of five. The donation, including meticulously crafted ornaments, stands as a testament to the commitment to uphold the cultural and spiritual heritage associated with Lord Ram.

Research and Craftsmanship for Ram Lalla’s Adornments

The ornaments for the consecrated Ram Lalla idol have been meticulously prepared based on extensive research and study of sacred texts such as the Adhyatma Ramayana, Valmiki Ramayana, Ramcharitmanas, and the Alavandar Stotram. Ankur Anand’s Lucknow-based Harsahaimal Shiamlal Jewellers crafted the ornaments, while Delhi-based textile designer Manish Tripathi designed the traditional Banarasi fabric garments.
