The ECI stressed the importance of stakeholder participation, urging the CEOs to enhance voter turnout through the effective use of IT applications. Additionally, they were instructed to focus on election expenditure management and conduct training and capacity-building programs for polling officials through systematic voter education and electoral participation (SWEEP) initiatives.

A key aspect of the strategic meeting was the emphasis on maintaining strict vigilance on state borders in coordination with state officers. This measure is aimed at creating a conducive and secure environment during the forthcoming Lok Sabha general election.

Assuring the ECI officers of the state’s commitment to a fair and transparent electoral process, Chief Electoral Officer of Uttar Pradesh, Navdeep Rinwa, pledged that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state would be conducted in a free, fair, transparent, and uninterrupted manner.
