Telangana: On Sunday, Amid ongoing vote counting, the Election Commission of India has ordered suspension of Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar for model code violation, reports said. In Telangana, Congress is leading on 63 seats, BRS on 40 seats, BJP on eight seats and CPI on one seat. According to information, the Election Commission has ordered the suspension of the DGP of Telangana for violating the Model Code of Conduct.
Sources are saying that many complaints were lodged with the Election Commission about the DGP, that is why the Election Commission has taken this big decision. Revanth Reddy, who is the front-runner for the CM’s post, assured that the government will work to help the poor and take Telangana ahead on the path of development.
Alleging that the BRS government has weakened democratic values, the TPCC chief said the Congress will work to revive it and will be at the forefront in protecting human rights. He reminded that it was on December 3, 2009, when Shrikant Chary sacrificed his life for Telangana, adding that the mandate given by the people of the State on December 3, 2023 is a fitting tribute to him.
Revanth Reddy, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao congratulated the Congress on its election victory and assured that the party will respect the opposition parties and take them along in running the government. He expressed hope that BRS will show the same spirit in future also.
