Punjab:On the orders of the government, Powercom has increased the per unit rate of industrial units by 50 paise.Earlier the industry had to pay Rs 5 per unit on subsidy.Now you have to pay Rs 5.50.This time some industrial units of Amritsar and Ludhiana have got more money added to the bill.Due to this there is anger among the owners of industrial units.
Representatives of industrial units Jaswinder Singh, Jaspal Singh and Gurmeet Singh told that under the increase made this time, the industry will now have to pay five rupees fifty paise per unit including electricity duty, IFD etc.Soon his delegation will meet the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Electricity Minister and present his views on this issue.
He said that if the government does not listen, then the law will also be taken.Already the industry of Punjab is running at a loss.The industry itself is paying for electricity.The burden of free electricity of other classes is now being put on the industry.This is totally wrong.This will not be tolerated.
