New Delhi: EPFO Higher Pension The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has extended the deadline for submission of applications to opt for higher pension till July 11.
This is the second time when the deadline to apply for opting for higher pension has been extended. Earlier it was extended from May 3 to June 26.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization said in a statement that the eligible pensioners/shareholders have been given the last opportunity for 15 days with the intention of getting rid of any kind of problem related to it.
According to the statement, the deadline for submission of applications for verification of options/combined options for employees has been extended to July 11.
Earlier, EPFO had also asked existing shareholders and retired employees to apply online by May 3, 2023, following the Supreme Court’s important decision on pension on November 4, 2022. Its deadline was extended to June 26 following demands from various parties.
EPFO said that any eligible pensioner who is facing problem in updating KYC can submit online application for verification of option.
