New Delhi: The Delhi Police’s Economic Crime Branch has registered FIR against the former Managing Director of India Pay (Bharatpe) and his wife Madhuri Jain Grover. In fact, other and his wife Madhuri Jain have accused of fraud of Rs 81 crore. According to the police sources, both the couples had reportedly transfer Rs 81 crore to their knowledge and relatives from the company’s account by making fake invoice.
Madhuri Jain Grover was the Joint Director HR of India. Then they accused of making money by making this fake invoice. The police will soon question both couples in this case. FIR is named family members including Deepak Gupta, Suresh Jain and Shwetank Jain.
An FIR has been registered against the parties involved under eight sections of serious cognizable criminal offences. including 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant, or banker, merchant, or agent), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc.), 120B (criminal conspiracy ) and other sections.
BharatPe has issued a statement after the FIR on Ashneer Grover. We welcome the registration of the FIR by the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police against Grover, his wife Madhuri Jain and other family members, the statement said. For the last 15 months, a vicious and malicious campaign is being carried out by Grover against the Company, its Board and its employees. After the FIR, the investigation will be in the right direction and it will be known how the family did various suspicious transactions for their personal financial gain.
According to the information, in the statement said that ‘this FIR will now encourage the law enforcement agencies to investigate the criminality in depth and bring the culprits to book. We have full faith in the judicial system of our country and hope that this matter will reach its logical conclusion. We will continue to provide all possible cooperation to the authorities.

The company offers a range of fintech products including interoperable QR codes for UPI payments, Bharat Swipe (POS machines) for card acceptance and financial support to small business. In January 2022, an employee of Kotak and the reality TV show Shark Tank Amidst his controversial behavior in talks with India, Grover suddenly announced taking voluntary leave from office till March.
