Chamoli forests fire Case: Recently, incidents of forest fire were reported at many places in Uttarakhand. In which the forest of Gairsain area of ​​Chamoli district, about 260 km from Dehradun, was also included. Meanwhile, the police have arrested three accused for setting fire to the forests of Chamoli. All the accused are said to be originally from Bihar.

According to reports, the accused who set fire in the forest of Gairsain area of ​​Chamoli district have been identified as Brajesh Kunwar, Sukhlal and Salman, residents of Bihar. The accused allegedly set fire to the forest to gain more likes, views and followers on social media and had made a video of the incident and uploaded it on social media.

Taking cognizance on the basis of the viral video, the police arrested him from Chamoli. The three accused were arrested on Saturday evening. A case has been registered against the accused under the Forest Act and relevant section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Chamoli SP Sarvesh Panwar said that on the basis of the viral video of Pandukhal village under Gairsain police station, the police traced three accused and arrested them. All three accused, originally from Bihar, work as laborers there.

SP Panwar further said that during interrogation, the three accused told that they wanted to get more likes and followers to increase their popularity on social media with dramatic videos.
