New Delhi: In the first qualifier of the Indian Premier League 2023, Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by 15 runs to make it to the final for a record 10th time. Batting first after losing the toss, Chennai scored 172/7 in 20 overs. Chasing this target in reply, the Gujarat team got all out for 157 runs in 20 overs.

Shubman Gill, the centurion of the last match, scored the maximum 42 runs for Gujarat. At the same time, Rashid Khan also came in the end and made some big shots and contributed 30 runs in 16 balls. On the other hand, Deepak Chahar, Tushar Deshpande, Mahish Theekshana and Ravindra Jadeja all got 2-2 wickets from Chennai side.

Earlier, batting first after losing the toss, Ruturaj Gaikwad scored the maximum 60 runs for Chennai. At the same time, Devon Conway played a cameo innings of 40 and Ravindra Jadeja scored 22 runs. For Gujarat, only Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma took 2-2 wickets.

Earlier, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl against Chennai. CSK captain Dhoni made it clear at the time of the toss that there is no change in the team. At the same time, Gujarat had made a change in the team and replaced Yash Dayal with Darshan Nalkande.
