New Delhi: The 59th match of IPL 2024 was played between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. Gujarat Titans registered a spectacular victory in this match. After the match, Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill got a big shock. When a fine of Rs 24 lakh was imposed on him for not following the rules.

IPL issued a statement saying, “Under the IPL Code of Conduct, a fine of Rs 24 lakh is imposed on Shubman Gill due to slow over rate.” This is the second time that Gill made this mistake. Therefore, a fine of Rs 24 lakh was imposed on him. Let us tell you that not only Shubman Gill, but the match fees of all the players of the playing XI and impact players were reduced by 25 percent.

Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill, who came to open for Gujarat Titans, scored brilliant centuries. Sai Sudarshan batted dangerously for Gujarat Titans and played an inning of 103 runs in 51 balls. Whereas, Gill had played an innings of 104 runs in 55 balls. In this way he scored 231 runs.

Now it was Chennai Super Kings’ turn to chase 232 runs. CSK lost the first 3 wickets very quickly. After this, Daryl Mitchell and Moeen Ali batted brilliantly. Ali scored 56 runs in 36 balls, while Daryl Mitchell played an inning of 63 runs. Apart from this, no player could play a big innings. In this way Chennai Super Kings had to lose this match. Their chances of qualifying have also reduced.
