Once again the weather has taken a turn in Delhi-NCR. Rain and cool winds have made the weather pleasant at 5.30 pm. It rained heavily in the national capital and its surrounding areas this evening. Due to the rain, people have got relief from the heat. The weather was showing clear on Sunday morning, but in the evening the mood of the weather suddenly changed.
Changes in the weather are being seen repeatedly in many parts of North India including Delhi-NCR. The Meteorological Department had predicted that it would be partly cloudy on Sunday and light to moderate rain may occur at some places till evening. It started raining heavily in Delhi and NCR on Sunday evening. The minimum temperature here was 21 degree Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 37 degree Celsius. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of clear sky from Monday. Next week, the maximum temperature is expected to increase by three to four degrees Celsius.
It rained in many areas on Saturday as well
Even on Saturday, after 12 noon, the weather took a turn in Delhi-NCR. After the dusty wind, there was light drizzle in many areas and after some time the weather became clear. 001.5 mm of rain was recorded in Mungeshpur and 001.0 in Pitampura, 000.2 mm in Lodi Road.
no respite from heat for a week
By next week, the temperature will reach above 39 degrees. Although it is less than the average temperature of May, because between May 6 and 10, the average temperature is 39.3 and the minimum temperature is 25.1 degrees, while between May 11 and May 15, the average temperature is 39.5 and the minimum temperature is 25.4 degrees. There is no chance of respite from the heat for a week.
