Kangra: A major accident took place in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. Five people were killed and five others injured when a truck fell into a 100-meter deep gorge near Dharamshala in the state’s Kangra district on Sunday. The officers provided this information. According to officials, the incident took place in Rasehar village in the afternoon. Those killed include three people from the same family.
Four people died on the spot
According to the information, four people died on the spot in this accident, while one died on the way to the hospital. It is being told that a truck loaded with wheat fell into a ditch on the side of the link road near Uthadagran Panchayat. The dead have been identified as Sunil Kant, his wife Sita Devi and daughter Trisha Devi, besides Aarti and Milap Chand, while the injured have been identified as Sunil Kant’s sons Abhinav and Abhishek, Pooja, Pragati and Anil Kant, officials said.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu expressed grief
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident. Sukhu said, “The government stands with the bereaved families in this hour of grief and directions have been issued to the district administration to provide immediate relief to the bereaved families.
The Chief Minister wished speedy recovery to the injured and directed the hospital authorities to provide them the best possible treatment. Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and said that the government would provide all possible help to the victims of the accident.
