Himachal Pradesh: Cloudburst in Kullu,1 person killed and 3 injured

Kullu: Heavy rains have once again created havoc in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. There has been a cloudburst in Kais of Kullu. Flash flood has come here due to cloudburst. One person has died due to being swept away in the flush flood, while 3 others are injured.

Kullu: Heavy rains have once again created havoc in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. There has been a cloudburst in Kais of Kullu. Flash flood has come here due to cloudburst. One person has died due to being swept away in the flush flood, while 3 others are injured. This incident happened early morning on Monday. Debris has entered houses in Kais and many vehicles have also been damaged.

According to the information, this incident happened at 2:30 am. Flash flood has occurred in Kais, Manali assembly constituency. Due to debris and water coming in the drain at night, people have saved their lives by running away.

At present, all the three injured have been taken to the hospital with the help of 108 ambulances. SDM Kullu has left for the spot. According to the information, some houses have also been damaged. In the initial information, it has been found that the Newly Jawani Nala of Kharahal Valley has been flooded and many shops and houses have been damaged. Debris has also come on the road.

One person Badal Sharma s/o Ganesh Sharma village Chansari Post Office Bari Padhar Tehsil & District Kullu aged 28 years has died. Other two persons Khem Chand s/o Nanak Chand village Badogi post office Nyoli tehsil and district Kullu age 53 years and Suresh Sharma s/o Lais Ram village Chansari post office Bari Padhar tehsil and district Kullu age 38 years were injured, who were sent to Kullu hospital for treatment.

On Sunday, India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for rain in four states, including Himachal Pradesh. IMD tweeted that Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are likely to receive heavy to very heavy showers from July 16 to 17.
