New Delhi: PM Modi flagged off Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express today in Telangana. He flagged off the Vande Bharat train at Secunderabad station in Telangana and waved his hand. Telangana BJP President Sanjay Kumar Bandi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and other leaders were present with him during the inauguration. Tirupati is a city of Andhra Pradesh. This train will save at least 3 hours in traveling between the two cities.

Within three months, Telangana state has received its second Vande Bharat train. This is the 12th Vande Bharat train of the country. Apart from this, PM Modi will also flag off the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express today.

PM Modi also inspected the train before leaving it and interacted with the school children. After flagging off the train, PM Modi will address a public meeting and then inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 11,300 crore. According to the PM’s schedule, he will lay the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bibinagar and five national highway projects near Hyderabad.

The Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express is the second Vande Bharat train to be introduced from Telangana in less than three months. It will connect Hyderabad with the city of Tirupati, where there is a temple of Lord Venkateswara. With the introduction of this train, the travel time between the two cities will be reduced by about three and a half hours. This train will be especially beneficial for the pilgrims.

In Secunderabad itself, the PM will also dedicate the doubling and electrification of the Secunderabad-Mahbubnagar project to the nation. Spread over a distance of more than 85 km, this project has been completed at a cost of about Rs 1,410 crore. This project will provide seamless connectivity and will prove to be helpful in increasing the average speed of the train.
