New Delhi: Amidst the apprehensions of scorching heat in the country this year, the weather is currently mild-hot. Due to the arrival of Western Disturbance amidst the sudden increase in heat last week, there is a slight softness in the weather at the moment. Meteorologists say that a Western Disturbance is active in the Western Himalayas and is slowly moving east. While another Western Disturbance will reach the Western Himalayas on March 4.
According to the agency, if we talk about the weather forecast for the next 24 hours, then light to moderate rain is possible in the Western Himalayas. Along with this, there may be snowfall in the higher mountainous areas. After that it will decrease. Light rain may also occur over East Assam, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. There may be light rain with thunder at one or two places in western and southern districts of Rajasthan.
According to private weather agency Skymet, light to moderate rain and snow occurred in the Western Himalayan region during the last 24 hours. Light rain occurred at one or two places in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim and East Assam. During this period, the maximum temperature (Weather Update) was 5 degrees above normal at many places in Punjab and Uttarakhand, at some places in West Uttar Pradesh and at one or two places in Bihar.
