India records 5,357 new Covid-19 cases, active cases cross 32,000-mark

New Delhi: Corona patients in the country have declined today as compared to yesterday. India records 5,357 new cases of Corona in India in 24 hours. With this, the number of active cases has increased to 32,814. The positivity rate has increased to 3.39 percent.

New Delhi: Corona patients in the country have declined today as compared to yesterday. India records 5,357 new cases of Corona in India in 24 hours. With this, the number of active cases has increased to 32,814. The positivity rate has increased to 3.39 percent.

11 deaths were recorded during this period. In such a situation, the total number of people who died from Corona has become 530965. In the last 24 hours, 3,726 patients recovered from Corona. The total number of those who have recovered has become 44,192,837. Currently the number of active cases is 32,814.

At the same time, if we talk about vaccination, its number remained modest. Now the vaccination campaign has become a disaster in the whole country. Only 659 people were vaccinated against Corona on Saturday. A total of 22.06 crore vaccinations have been done so far. According to the data, the health officials have conducted 1,57,894 tests for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

Amid the rising Covid cases over the last few days,Kerala government have been made masks mandatory for pregnant women and the elderly. Kerala is among the states where the highest number of patients are being reported. Kerala Health Minister Veena George said that masks are mandatory for pregnant women, the elderly and people suffering from serious illnesses. According to him, it is important to protect the elderly and patients facing serious conditions from the disease.
