Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams’ 3rd mission to space postponed hours before liftoff

This flight was to be launched from Space Complex-41 of Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on May 7 i.e. today at 8.04 am from United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket.

Sunita Williams’ 3rd mission to space: Sunita Williams’ third mission to space was postponed due to a technical problem a few hours before launch. Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams was fully prepared to fly in space for the third time. Sunita was to fly today with Butch Wilmore in the new spacecraft Boeing Starliner. But a few hours before the launch, due to some technical problem, the mission was postponed for the time being.

At present no new date has been announced for the launch of this mission. According to the information, this flight was to be launched by United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket on May 7 i.e. today at 8.04 am from Space Complex-41 of Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Today Sunita was ready to fly in space for the third time.

Sunita has flown for the first time in 2006 and for the second time in 2012. According to NASA, “Sunita has spent a total of 322 days in space.” According to Boeing, the Crew Space Transportation (CST)-100 Starliner spacecraft is designed for seven passengers.

Crew members and luggage can also be accommodated and carried. It took more than 10 years to make it. NASA says the astronauts will spend about a week in the laboratory before the crew capsule lands in the southwestern United States with the help of parachutes and airbags. Let us tell you that NASA had selected Sunita Williams as an astronaut in 1988 and she has the experience of two space missions. He served as flight engineer of Expedition 32 and commander of Expedition 33.
