According to the information, the incident took place at around 8:30 in the morning. The bird hit a wing of the plane, which was all set to take off. The pilot immediately informed Air Traffic Control and the flight was cancelled. After the incident, 160 passengers were offloaded from the aircraft.

This incident created chaos at the airport for some time. Later, alternate arrangements were made for the passengers to board another flight to Dubai, which had arrived from Bengaluru.

At present, the grounded flight is being inspected by technicians. MIA officials said in a statement that 6E 1467 IXE-DXB hit a bird as it entered the runway from the taxiway. The pilot reported this to ATC. All passengers were deplaned and the aircraft was declared Aircraft on Ground (AOG) for a thorough engineering inspection.

Indigo then made alternate travel arrangements for the 165 passengers who were on board the flight. Later the rescheduled Dubai flight left at 11.05 am.
