Mumbai did not have a good start and lost wickets at regular intervals. As a result, Mumbai had to face defeat at home to Gujarat in a do or die match.

This is the second season for Gujarat Titans and the team has reached the finals for the second time in a row. Last season, the team won the title by defeating Rajasthan Royals in the final. This time again the team has come to the finals. It has also become the first team to play the finals of its first two seasons. The team of Gujarat Titans will defend their title against Chennai Super Kings at their home ground on Sunday. That record will be CSK’s 10th final match. Mumbai Indians missed out on playing their seventh final and were eliminated in third place.
