Jana Sena chief, Actor-Politician Pawan Kalyan ties up with Chandrababu Naidu

New Delhi: On Thursday, Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan, Janasena Party chief announced an tie up with Naidu Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections to be held in 2024.

New Delhi: On Thursday, Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan, Janasena Party chief announced an tie up with Naidu Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections to be held in 2024.

Janasena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, actor-politician Bala Krishna and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh met TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu at Rajahmundry Central Jail, where he is currently lodged after being arrested in the skill development scam case.

Addressing the media, Janasena Party chief Pawan Kalyan said, “I have decided today, JSP and TDP are going to fight the upcoming assembly elections together. We cannot fight YSRCP alone.” The actor-turned-politician further said that the Jana Sena Party and TDP alliance is ready to face the upcoming elections, be it in 6 months or even earlier.

Notably, after Chandrababu Naidu was arrested on September 9 for his alleged involvement in the Andhra Pradesh skill development scam during his tenure as Chief Minister of the state, Pawan Kalyan stood in support of the TDP chief and Jagan Mohan Reddy. Criticized the led YSRCP for resorting to “anti-social activities” in the state.

Earlier, the Jana Sena Party (JSP) extended its full support to the state bandh called by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) over the arrest of party chief N Chandrababu Naidu in a multi-crore corruption case. Issuing a statement, JSP chief Pawan Kalyan accused the ruling YSRCP of indulging in “anti-social activities” in the state and “harassing” the opposition parties.

The Janasena Party is expressing solidarity with the state bandh called by the Telugu Desam Party on Monday (11-09-2023) in protest against the arrest of leader of the opposition and Telugu Desam Party President Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The party has already condemned this arrest which is against the spirit of democracy.”
