Dhanbad: A painful road accident has happened in Jharkhand’s coal city Dhanbad. The incident took place near the Dhayarani dam of Sadar police station area where Congress MLA Purnima Neeraj Singh’s brother-in-law’s luxury SUV car Fortuner crushed the bike rider couple. In this incident, the 12-year-old son of the couple riding the bike also got injured. Bike rider husband and wife have died in a road accident, while the condition of the son remains critical.
Among the dead are 45-year-old Rana Das and his wife Mansi Das, 35, residents of Bhelatad. Deceased Rana Das was working as an engineer in BCCL Govindpur Area 3. Injured Rishabh was hurriedly admitted to the nearest hospital, who has been referred to Kolkata for better treatment, where his condition remains critical. The luxury car was at a high speed which overturned after going some distance. On getting the information, the police reached the spot and seized the car and brought it to the police station. The police has started investigating the incident.
It is being told that for the treatment of his son Rishabh, Rana along with his wife had gone to the doctor by bike. While returning home, he was hit by a speeding Fortuner vehicle near Ranibandh at around 12 o’clock in the night. The collision was so strong that Rana Das fell about 100 feet away from the spot, due to which he died on the spot, while his wife Mansi Das died on the way while being rushed to the hospital.
After getting information about the incident, BJP leader Ragini Singh reached to meet the deceased family and consoled the family members. He has demanded the police to take action against those responsible for the incident. The BJP leader said that the husband and wife have been killed by the Congress leader who was intoxicated by power. According to the brother of the deceased, the number of the Fortuner with which this accident happened is jh10 cf 0045. This fortuner is registered in the name of M/s Singh Natural & Private Limited.
