Kamal Nath demands probe into viral videos linking UM Tomar’s son to money laundering

Bhopal: Ahead of the elections in Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, senior Congress leader, took a potshot at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the viral videos of Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar’s son. Three videos of Devendra Pratap Singh Tomar’s transactions of crores of rupees, one after the other, have allegedly gone viral on the internet media. The opposition is constantly targeting the BJP with this issue.

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath has hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the alleged viral video involving the island of Union Minister and BJP candidate Narendra Singh Tomar’s money transactions. Speaking about the videos, he asked top BJP leaders whether the interest of the party and family comes first for them or the interest of the country.

Kamal Nath immediately demanded an inquiry into the matter and asked whether the party prioritized its own interests over the interests of the country. Nath alleged, “Three videos of the Union Minister and BJP candidate in the Assembly elections Narendra Singh Tomar’s son have surfaced so far. The case, which allegedly started with a transaction of Rs 100 crore, has now reached a transaction of up to Rs 10,000 crore. In this, a direct connection with the drug trade and Canada is being shown.”

He further said in his tweet that this matter is no longer about any person or party, but it seems to be directly related to national security and drug trade. It should be investigated promptly to find out what is true and what is false. But the sad thing is that the entire national leadership of BJP is currently in Madhya Pradesh and no one is speaking even a single word on this issue related to national security that has been issued in Madhya Pradesh. I warn that Madhya Pradesh will not forgive those who are putting personal interests ahead of national interests.

Earlier on November 13, Congress Party’s national spokesperson Ragini Nayak had also targeted BJP and alleged that black money and BJP leaders are synonymous with each other. She made these allegations in view of the video that surfaced on social media of Tomar’s son Devendra Singh making a deal worth crores of rupees with some businessmen.

However, Union Minister Tomar has termed the video as fake and claimed that it is a “well-planned conspiracy” by the opposition with the aim of misleading the public at the time of elections. Tomar is contesting from the Dimani Assembly seat of Morena district in the upcoming state assembly elections to be held on November 17. Counting of votes will be done on December 3.
